HTML & CSS for Absolute Beginners: Styling Links with Pseudo-Classes

The problem with most beginner tutorials is that the tutor teaches useless things. Kevin Powell is one of the most popular CSS tutors on YouTube, and he has often done a poor job of teaching CSS.

In this tutorial, Kevin Powell teaches you how to style links. But it is not about that. It is only about him trying different features of links—something you can do by yourself.

When people read a title, they have an expectation. In this case, those people are beginners—or absolute beginners—who want to know how to style links correctly and nicely. Then, they only get to see a person trying different CSS pseudo-classes. Who is actually learning? The viewers or him?

The funny thing is he explains the :visited pseudo-class, which he admits himself that it is useless. No other websites are using it. Why does he want people to know such a useless thing? He reminds me of my teachers in high school. They teach something they do not practice.

To clarify, this is only a comment. If you know him, you can send him this article.

I do not care about Kevin Powell. All I care about is his video. Do not think that I am here to attack this man.
